Report on the High Top Ministries Mexico Trip

We went to a hospital and the garbage dump in Mexico and they have the worst conditions that you could not imagine. These people are so poor that they live in Garbage Dumps and also use it to get food or things they can sell for food.   It makes you sick to see them sitting on top of the garbage eating.  It's very cold at night without a blanket to keep them warm. We gave out forty blankets, not enough to go around, so we got on top of the van and threw them out into a crowd of over 400 people. We also gave out Bibles, food, water, and preached and prayed for these beautiful people. We prayed for the sick and over 30 souls were saved for the first time. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!

Garbage Dump in Matamoros, Mexico.  People rush in when a truck arrives to scavenge the fresh garbage for food or items to sale.

Let me share with you one of the times that we went to the hospital

In the men's ward, I walked in on a patient that just had surgery. With the aid of an interpreter, I asked if I could pray for him. He said how could you pray for me if you cannot speak Spanish. I said God answers prayers In English and Spanish, but he did not want a gringo in his room. I started to leave and as I was leaving, I stopped to give him a little Christian booklet. He looked at it and said this is in Spanish. I said yes and he said thank you. He said that his wife took his glasses and that he could not see to read it or the magazine that he had in his possession. So I gave him my reading glasses. He said you can't do that, because they cost a lot of money. I said they are yours to keep and then he did not want me to leave!!  After awhile, he prayed the sinner's prayer and was so happy in Jesus that he did not want me to leave!!

So little to pay for a lost soul!! Thank you so much!! For it is through your support that God can reach so many!!

So give thanks to the Lord for his loving kindness in the morning, and thank him for his faithfulness every night (see Psalm 92:1-2)

It was so good to give out the Bible booklets, that "LIGHT FOR THE LOST" provided. Until the last one was given out, and a young girl had her hands out to get one, and they were gone. It hurt me so that I turned and walked away crying. It is a shame that all people in the world that want a Bible can not have one!

Bonnie Wade passes out one (1) bag of beans and one (1) bag of rice to each person at Squatter's camp. The Squatter's camp is what was a corn field of a thousand or so acres, and now is home to fifteen hundred or so families that live in makeshift houses, with only three water faucets and no electric.
