THEHEART

(Mat5:8 KJV)  Blessed are the pure in heart:for they shall see God.

Scientistshave discovered that every snowflake has a tiny piece of dust at its core. Yes, every snowflake has a "dirty heart".  In the spiritual realm, when the blood of Christ is appliedto the heart of an unbeliever, itcleanses him from all sin.  Not aspeck of defilement remains, for God removes every stain and washes him even whiterthan snow.

(Psalm51:7) Purgeme with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

(Isa1:18);   Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

1John 1:7   But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, wehave fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleansethus from all sin.

(Mat13:15 NASB)  FOR THE HEART OFTHIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL, AND WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR, AND THEYHAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES LEST THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, AND HEAR WITH THEIREARS, AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEARTAND RETURN, AND I SHOULD HEAL THEM.'

As a person“thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Prov23:7 KJV)  For as he thinketh inhis heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart isnot with thee.

(2Cor 9:7 KJV)  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for Godloveth a cheerful giver.

(Acts5:4 KJV)  Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it wassold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thineheart? thou hast not lied unto men,but unto God.

(Rom1:24 NIV)  Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their heartsto sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

(Rom1:25 NIV)  They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped andserved created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.

(Psa4:7 KJV)  Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

The believer is commanded to love God “with allyour heart”

(Mark12:30 KJV)  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this isthe first commandment.

(Deu6:5 KJV)  And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

(1Tim 1:5 NIV)  The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heartand a good conscience and a sincere faith.

TheHebrew language had no word for conscience, so the word heart was often used toexpress this concept:

(1John 3:19 NIV)  This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and howwe set our hearts at rest in hispresence

(1John 3:20 NIV)  whenever our heartscondemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knwith allyour heart”

(1Tim 1:5 NIV)  The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heartand a good conscience and a sincere faith.ows everything.

(1John 3:21 NIV)  Dear friends, if our heartsdo not condemn us, we have confidence before God

(Mat15:18 NIV)  But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.'

(Mat15:19 NIV)  For out of the heartcome evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

(Heb3:12 KJV)  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heartof unbelief, in departing from the living God.

2.     Before a man went his way after an evilwoman, the lust was in his heart.

3.     Before the tongue moved to profanity orblasphemy, profanity and blasphemy were in the heart.

(Luke24:32 KJV)  And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, andwhile he opened to us the scriptures?

(Jeremiah 20:9 NIV) But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in hisname," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in mybones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

(Psa.39:3 NIV)  My heart grew hotwithin me, and as I meditated, the fire burned; then I spoke with mytongue:

nsider hisappearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at thethings man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks atthe heart."

D.L. Moody used to say: “Suppose a man should advertise to take photographsof the heart would he get manycustomers?” And if our heartshad glass walls, would we want curtains drawn over them?

(Prov23:26 NASB)  Give me your heart,my son, And let your eyes delight in my ways.

Godsays: “Keep thy Heart” ButHe also says: “Give me thy Heart”. It seems strange way to keep the heartby giving it away. But history teaches there is such a thing as keeping by giving away.

Illus. The Fiji Islands are in the southern seas. This small group has 100,000inhabitants, but is rich and productive territory. Some years ago their leadingman looked out upon the world and felt they were in danger of losing theirfreedom. They saw France, Germany, Holland seizing all the territory they couldfind. Their turn would come next. They thought of a plan. England gave hercolonies liberty. So they wrote to Queen Victoria and asked her to take underher protection the Fiji Islands. In 1874 they came under the Englishflag. They gave themselves to England to retain their liberty, to be protectedfrom their enemies. The0.0pt">
